ASM COVID-19 Risk and Waiver of Liability

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread primarily from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited the congregation of groups of people.

ASM Tennis Academy (ASM) has put in place preventative measures (listed below) to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, ASM cannot guarantee that you and/or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, attending the our camps could increase your risk and/or your child(ren)’s risk of contracting COVID-19.

  • Campers will maintain social distancing of 3 feet during drills, on-court activities, lunch, breaks, and other indoor and outdoor activities.

  • Campers will need to bring a mask, bandana, or face covering to camp everyday. Campers and staff must wear the face covering during drop-off and pick-up and while indoors. Masks will not be required while on the tennis courts outside.
  • ASM will have hand sanitizer available for campers to use after ball pick-up and throughout the day.

  • Coaches will pick up all balls - campers can kick the balls towards the net for the coaches to retrieve.
  • Campers will not shake hands after matches or have any physical contact with other campers.
  • An ASM staff member will take the temperature of campers in their car (with parent or guardian present) as they arrive for camp. Campers with high temperatures will not be allowed to attend camp for that day.

  • Campers will be grouped with one coach for the entire day and each coach will instruct a maximum of 10 campers in their group.

  • Parents, guardians, and other non-essential visitors will be restricted to drop-off and pick-up unless consent is given by ASM staff.

  • Campers will be instructed to wash hands throughout the day: before lunch, during bathroom breaks, and upon arrival.

  • In the event a camper becomes ill during camp, the camper will be given a mask to wear and isolated from the rest of the campers. Parents or guardians will be notified to pick up the camper.

  • ASM reserves the right to add or remove restrictions and policies during Summer 2020.
